FAQ’s

1. Is there a dress code?

  • Oh boy is there! Please wear something bright and patterned!

2. It wasn’t on the invite, can I bring a plus one?

  • Not unless you’ve been given a plus one on your invite, unfortunately we can only host those we have requested the company of.

3. Are children allowed at the wedding?

  • As much as we’d love to have them come along, this will be a child-free event. Book a babysitter (or a family member), come along and enjoy your evening with us!

4. What time should I arrive at the reception?

  • Please aim to arrive between 5pm and 6pm. We decided we wanted to have an intimate ceremony with our closest friends and family therefore we have asked most of our guests to arrive for the evening. Don’t worry you won’t miss out, there will be speeches, cake cutting, a band and a DJ all happening from when you arrive.

5. Should I bring a gift?

  • We have absolutely everything we need at home, so a contribution towards our honeymoon would be absolutely incredible (please see Gift page).

6. Can I take photographs?

  • Leave it to the professionals on the day, we have got two photographers and a videographer so lots of coverage going on.

7. How about photographs during the reception?

  • We love that you’re enjoying yourself at our wedding reception! We ask that pictures you post on your social media don’t contain full lengths of the bride. Please hold off on posting anything until we’ve had a chance to come down from our high and had a look through our professional photos. Feel free to post pictures of yourself though!

8. Are dietary restrictions accommodated for the wedding meal?

  • We are having a BBQ from about 8pm, so expect the normal food options to be available. There is an opportunity to let us know about dietary requirements on the RSVP page.

9. What is the drinks situation?

  • We will be providing wine and beer for guests at the start of the evening. Once it’s gone - the bar accepts cash and card.

10. I plan on dancing the night away, any chance you’re providing flip flops?

  • I can’t tell you how often I’ve ended up in bare feet after a night out because heels + Gabby don’t mix. In order to prevent any injuries or bare foot related accidents, yes there absolutely will be flip flops available.

11. What time does the reception end?

  • We’ve sorted out a late night license so the party will go on until about 12am.

12. Is there transport to get us back home/to our hotel at the end of the day?

  • We’ve got a couple of local taxi companies you can arrange drop offs with at the local hotels.

13. Will there be a special appearance by Mabel?

  • I often think she’s more popular than us, sadly she’s a real introvert and prefers the peace and quiet of our home.
